On August 11 the Sunshine Ambassadors gave us a wonderful performance during the second service. They are always a joy to watch!

We now offer Children's Church for children ages 3 1/2-2nd grade during the 11:15 service. Families will worship together during the first half of the service and go with Mrs. Tonya to King Street prior to the sermon. There they will engage in a lesson that parallels Jason's sermon, along with crafts and activities. Parents will pick up their children in King Street after the service. Ashley is asking that every parent who has a child attending Children's Church volunteer to be on a rotation as an assistant to teacher Tonya Moyers.
Ashley is looking for volunteers to help in the nursery either once every two months from 9-12:15 on Sunday morning, once every two months from 11-12:15 on Sunday morning, or once every 4-6 weeks on Wednesday nights from 5:30-7:30. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact her at firstname.lastname@example.org.

This month we would like to recognize Kim Kizer. Kim leads our High School Girls Small group. She has been with Ignite youth for 3 years. She is an integral part of the success in our youth program at SGUMC. Kim’s passion allows us the opportunity to reach our youth right where they are. Kim makes each youth feel special and accepted. We would like to thank Mrs. Kim for all she does for the Ignite Youth program.
This month we would like to recognize our 6th graders. We have 9 six graders that joined our Ignite youth this year: Logan Benson, Keira DeMaria, Emerson Ellison, Theron Frye, Gage Manuel, Olivia Steinberg, Elizabeth Tiller, Tucker Williams, & Gracie Williamson.
