Hello church family!
It's been calm these last two weeks as we settle down from Easter season, but it won't be calm for long! There are a lot of exciting things coming up in the life of our church, but first let's recap what happened over the last month.
EASTER EGG HUNT
Over 250 people came out to join us for our Easter Egg Hunt on April 13 at Mt. Horeb. We didn't let the drizzle get us down, and we had a blast hunting eggs, playing games, and getting our faces painted. Mrs. Ashley shared how jelly beans reminded her of the story of Easter, and everyone got to take home a goody bag with their own jelly beans kit outlining the Gospel story. A special thank you to all the wonderful volunteers who made this day possible!
We had two beautiful Palm Sunday services on April 14. Here are a few pictures for those who may have missed it.
We had a wonderful cast for our Maundy Thursday reenactment of Jesus washing the disciples' feet and the last supper. Those who were in the audience were blessed by their portrayal as well as Jason's words about service and humility.
At our Good Friday service, seven members of the church shared a devotion on the seven last phrases Jesus said while on the cross. While they were speaking, Jason and Eddie chalked this beautiful picture to remind us of the price Jesus paid.
We had three beautiful services on Easter morning to celebrate Jesus' resurrection, with a total of 417 people in attendance! He is risen indeed!
New Sunday School Room
We have officially moved into our new Sunday School room, previously the downstairs nursery. The kids are loving the chalk wall and bean bags. Come down and check us out!
It's time to sign your kids up for camp! Each year the church takes a group of kids, upcoming 2nd-6th grade, to Camp Wesley Woods. Our kids will be going July 7-12. If your child is interested, you can sign up on the Wesley Woods website. Contact Ashley Wren for the scholarship code or for more information.
Wednesday Night End of the Year Party
Wednesday, May 22 is our last Wednesday night of this school year. We will be having a pool party at the Yarnell's house to celebrate! Contact Ashley Wren for more information.
We would like for you to join us on May 19th for Youth Sunday. Our youth will be responsible for leading us in worship at both services. This year we will be recognizing four high school graduates and one college Graduate. We hope to see you there as we “Bring on The Rain”.
Wednesday Night End of the Year
May 22 is the last night of youth. Stay tuned for the Summer Schedule.
Did you know we have Small Group Bible Study on Sundays at 10am in the Youth suite? We would love to see you there.
Are you interested in helping the youth? We are looking for volunteers to help on Sundays and Wednesday Nights. If you have questions or interested in knowing more let us know.
