Spring is just around the corner, and here at Shady Grove we are gearing up for the Easter Season! Check below to find out what's going on at Shady Grove during the month of March.
King's Kidz' Painting Party
On President's Day, Shady Grove's kids came together for a painting party! Mrs. Miranda Lewis taught us how to paint a beautiful cross scene, and the kids had a blast! Thank you, Mrs. Miranda!
Ash Wednesday Service
We had a beautiful and reverent Ash Wednesday service on February 26 with over 100 Shady Grove members and guests in attendance. Jason reminded us that Jesus said a bruised reed He will not break and a smoldering wick He will not snuff out. He wishes to fan our flame into service for Him.
Youth Movie Night
Last Friday, 23 youth and volunteers gathered in the youth suite for a movie night. They had a great time hanging out with one another while they watched Spiderman: Homecoming.
Women Encouraging Women Event
On Saturday, February 29, 40 ladies of Shady Grove gathered together for fellowship, encouragement, and goodies! Mary McDonald led a devotion, and several fine men of Shady Grove served for the event. Thank you to all those who made this event a success!
Children's Area Renovation
Please pardon our mess as we continue to renovate the children's area. We are on track to be done by the end of March and we can't wait to show you the results!
Wednesday Night March 18th
Don't forget that due to Spring Break, King's Kidz will not meet on Wednesday night March 18th!
Ashley is still looking for nursery volunteers to help on Sunday mornings from 8:45-12:15 once every two months and on Wednesday nights from 5:30-7:30 once a month. If you are interested in helping out, you can email her at email@example.com.
Mrs. Ashley and Co. would like to wish a very happy birthday to Elizabeth Eisler, Everett Resurreccion, and Emma Tipton during the month of March!
This month, Mrs. Ashley would like to recognize Wednesday night game leader Mrs. Amy Yarnell! Mrs. Amy is a favorite among the kids both for her humor and her talent for baking! The kids look forward to game time on Wednesday nights because Mrs. Amy always makes it fun. She is always willing to lend a helping hand when it comes to set up and food, and we sure do love her here at the Children's Ministry. Thank you, Mrs. Amy, for your service to the Children's Ministry and Shady Grove!

Holy Week Concert
Our Music Department is hard at work on Holy Week and Easter music, not only for our worship services, but for the concert which will begin Holy Week. Please mark your calendars for April 5th at 6:00 PM at First Baptist Church. We will part of the Dandridge Community Choir with Mary McDonald conducting or playing the piano. Plan now to attend this wonderful concert to begin Holy Week. Our own Todd DeMaria will be playing trumpet in the orchestra.
King's Kidz Choir
The children’s choir, King’s Kidz, will still be practicing each Sunday morning at 10:05, just after the 9:00 AM service. They will practice about 15 or 20 minutes and then go to Sunday School. Please have your little ones here in the choir room!
Guy Penrod Concert
Guy Penrod will be in concert here at Shady Grove on September 21st at 7:00pm. Tickets will be on sale soon. Further information will be forthcoming.
