Welcome to our Shady Grove newsletter page! Read on to catch up on Shady Grove news from January into February.
You may have noticed, but January was full of committee meetings! Each committee took the opportunity to initiate their new members in January. We thank the Lord for a leadership team who is committed to accomplishing the vision of this church- We are one family in Jesus Christ intentionally making disciples for Him through study, actions, and worship that speaks to all people- as well as for the members of the church who serve on these committees.
Our Ignite Youth took a total of 51 youth and volunteers to Resurrection this year, where they learned that they are more than conquerors through Jesus Christ. In between sessions, they had a great time relaxing and fellowshipping with one another. Thank you, Eddie and volunteers, for investing in our youth for Jesus Christ!

Christmas Season Recap
Our music department had a very busy Christmas season. We returned from New York to finish preparing the beautiful music we sang there for our congregation and community. Beth McDonald Smith and her mom, Mary McDonald, both played for us on December 15. Also in December, we sang another Christmas musical with the Dandridge Community Choir, and also with the Knoxville Symphony Orchestra. That is a lot of Christmas music!!!!
