Hello church family!
As we approach Easter, both our church and our community have provided many different ways for us to come together and worship our Risen King! Here are the details:
Shady grove holy week
-The Easter Egg Hunt will be held Saturday, April 13 at Mt. Horeb Elementary School from 2-4. This free, family-friendly event will be fun for kids of all ages!
(In the case of rain, the event will be moved to the next Saturday, April 20, at the same place and time)
-We have Palm Sunday Services at 9:00am (Traditional) and 11:15 (Modern).
-Our Maundy Thursday Service is at 7:00pm in our sanctuary. This service will be a reenactment of Jesus washing his disciples' feet and his serving of communion, from which we will learn what it means to serve others.
-Our Good Friday Service is at 7:00pm in our sanctuary. We will be discussing Jesus' final seven phrases on the cross.
-Our Sonrise Service will be held outdoors at the Shady Grove Cemetery at 7:00am.
-Our 9:00am (Traditional) and 11:15am (Modern) Easter services will be held in the Sanctuary.

"thank you" from the children's ministry
The Children's Ministry (and myself in particular!) would like to thank everyone who gave eggs, candy, and money toward the Easter Egg hunt, as well as all the volunteers who came out to help me stuff eggs! Once again, this church has proved how generous her members are. Thanks to all of you, we will be able to reach out to the community with the love of Christ through our event!
P.S. from the choir
The Music Department needs your help as they work to raise money to sing Mary McDonald’s “Sing Christmas” at Carnegie Hall this November. We have Shady Grove pens for sale each Sunday in the Narthex for a $3.00 donation. If you have a business, these would make great gifts for your customers. The composer herself has invited us to sing----and it’s quite an honor. Another bake sale will be coming us and then there’s the AUCTION May 17th at 6:00. If you have donations to be sold for the Auction please bring them to the choir room. Thank you to those who have already done this! See you at the Auction!
To God be the glory as we endeavor to praise His name this week and beyond!
