"And he said: ‘Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children,
you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.’”
Matthew 18:3

Our mission at Shady Grove Church is to equip children with the tools they need to go light our world for Christ! We desire for all of our kids to develop a long lasting relationship with Him and learn how to stay firm in His Word. In doing this, the next generation will be set apart from the world and be a shining light of the love of Jesus!

we are so excited to welcome you to our children's program!
For children ages 0-4 ...
We have nursery available for both the 9:00 & 11:15 Worship times! We also offer nursery through the Sunday School hour @ 10:00!
For elementary-age children...
At 10:00 (during our church-wide Sunday School hour), you'd find our elementary students in a large group setting where we focus on forming friendships and encourage our children to get excited about what we're diving into learning! Children hear a new "Big Idea" each week to act as a takeaway from the lesson!
We will split off into two groups-- Kindergarten through Second in one group, and Third through Fifth in another! Our intention with splitting our age groups is to continue the concept we started in large group with a more individualized, age-appropriate approach!
Ms. Patti Keep is our K-2 teacher, and Ms. Diane Keep is our 3-5 teacher. Both are talented and dynamic teachers who bring out the best in our children and instill the love of Jesus in their hearts.

Has your child asked jesus christ to be his or her lord and savior?
If so, we are rejoicing with you! This means that the next step is baptism. Baptism is a public declaration that you are beginning a new life in Christ and that you are committed to following Him. This is a major decision, so we encourage our kids to go through a mentoring process. Throughout this time, they will go in depth with an adult mentor about what it means to be a Christian. If this is something that you would be interested in for your child, please contact Pastor Sam or our Children's Leader, Jill Frye to discuss your next steps!
Are you interested in dedicating your child to the Lord?
We are so excited for you! Doing this allows parents to present their child before God and the church and commit to raising the child up through the wisdom and grace found in Him. If this is a commitment you are willing to take, please reach out to Pastor Sam or Jill Frye to arrange a time that we can witness and celebrate this dedication as a church family!
